I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
